Works of Jay Haley
Jay Haley has written 19 books on therapy and therapist training as well as therapist training videos. His publications are written in a clear and concise style and include many examples to illustrate the major ideas within the field of therapy. His works include Problem-Solving Therapy, Uncommon Therapy, Leaving Home, and his latest book, Learning and Teaching Therapy (1996).
In collaboration with his wife, Madeleine Richeport-Haley, Jay Haley has produced a number of therapist training videotapes. These works are of particular interest to therapy students, therapy instructors, and researchers.
Madeleine Richeport-Haley, Ph.D. is an anthropologist-filmmaker whose work includes consultant to National Geographic and documentaries appearing on PBS. As a WHO mental health consultant she has made therapy training films. She also collaborated with Jay Haley on Milton H. Erickson, MD Explorer in Hypnosis and Therapy (which appeared on PBS), Whither Family Therapy? Approaching A Crisis, The Guaranteed Cure and others.
